My belief is that we should encourage children of all ages, sizes, and with a variety of interests to incorporate some type of movement into their daily lives.  Maybe that will include yoga, or maybe they'll decide that yoga isn't their thing.  We do know that research has shown us that yoga helps to develop mindfulness for cognitive and behavioral challenges and promotes strength, decreased muscle tension, and healing for physical endeavors.  My laid-back teaching style is reflective of my belief that yoga should be fun, restorative, and healing in nature. Teaching yoga to children also has an added benefit of being able to play silly games, dance to music, learn about nature, and practice poses all in the same lesson!  The best thing about yoga?  It meets you exactly where you are at right now and once you step onto your mat you should feel free to begin your practice from a place of acceptance, love and respect.

I feel blessed to have learned from some pretty dynamic teachers (including my students) and organizations such as Yoga Fit, YogaKids International, Yahweh Yoga, and Living Waters Yoga.  I'm looking forward to more great trainings in the future so we can experiment together!

Yours in wellness,
